About Us
My husband and I have been breeding rats for over 6 years. Personally I have grown up with gerbils, mice, rats, dogs and cats. My husband grew up on a farm and has experience with cats, dogs, hamsters, cows, horses and chickens.
I got my first rats when I was 13. They were the best pets I've ever had. They used to hang out on my shoulder, and loved to clean me. The first rats I got were from a home breeder. They had the most incredible temperament! When my rat passed away from old age, we got a pet store rat as a companion for her sister, and were appalled at the temperament and health of this rat. This is why my husband and I have decided to breed rats. We know that pedigreed, home bred rats have much better temperament and health than rats from pet stores. We want to provide rats of incredible health and temperament for others to experience.
Our Breeding Goals
My husband and I are focusing on breeding for health and temperament. . Our goal is to improve the health and temperament in our lines.
Why Rats
Rats are friendly, loving, and exceptionally clean. They do not bite and they love to be with people! They come in many different colors and varieties. Rats require simple care, do not smell when properly cared for, are very playful and fun to watch, and can even be trained to do tricks!
Rats must be sold in same-sex pairs, unless you have another rat of the same or altered gender at home for your new rat to live with. Rats are extremely social animals and need companionship.
